Warm thanks to all who attended the meeting on Thursday. Next time we will have refreshments and a bit of time to meet and greet each other (and more council representatives!), so please do come again.
Forty people attended this meeting, which was one of the best attendances we’ve had. It would be very helpful if you could comment below or send an email to say what persuaded you to come and what would bring you along again.
The council representatives did not attend, because our accounts are not in order and they cannot ‘officially recognise’ our TRA until they are. Thus we could not hold elections and co-opted some people onto the committee to maintain our status and help out. We have only just enough people to continue to exist as a TRA, so if you feel you can help, even just occasionally and in small ways (e.g. on fun days, leaflets through doors, contributing ideas) please contact us.
The main item for discussion was the on-going anti-social behaviour issues and the need for CCTV. We will be organising a petition to keep the pressure on the council to get this installed. Other items were the noise of the church who rent the hall on Sunday afternoons and are to be given a month’s notice to leave, garden fences, the recurrent dog fouling, litter and cleaning.
